It all started during a trip to Veracruz, the Mexican state where Cristely is from. She introduced me to the cultural and gastronomic richness of her region. Among all the unforgettable dishes I tasted, one in particular stood out: the famous salsa macha. Its intense, smoky, and spicy flavor completely won me over. It was a revelation.
From a Family Recipe to a Shared Passion
Back in Quebec, we had only one goal in mind: to rediscover those flavors that had made such an impression on us.
We started preparing our own salsa macha in our kitchen, respecting the spirit of the traditional recipe while adding our personal touch. Very quickly, our loved ones wanted some for their meals, their evenings with friends, and their shared moments. That's when Pasumecha came to life.
Our mission is simple: to introduce the richness of salsa macha through artisanal recipes that celebrate the encounter between Veracruz's culinary traditions and Quebec's savoir-faire.
